From 27-28 November, UGEFA hosted Green Entrepreneurship Day as part of Kampala Innovation Week, which welcomed 150 participants in person and more than 5,000 online. The dialogue sessions brought together enterprises, financial institutions and other ecosystem players to share their perspectives and explore opportunities for building the capacities of and financing the futures of green SMEs across Uganda, addressing key questions of: What is a "green enterprise"? What environmental, social and economic impacts do these businesses create? What opportunities are there for local financial institutions to tap into "green finance" for SME financing?
